Extension, Alignment, Strength and Flexibility
Through the practice of Yoga, the body is worked in extension, alignment, strength and flexibility. Respiration is central to the practice of Yoga. Yoga teaches our body to exercise and breathe at a cellular level, improving cell oxygenation and vitality.
Yoga is a type of exercise that promotes deep mental relaxation but also working of musco-skeletal structure to foster stamina, bone building activity through resistance work, lengthening of muscles and freeing space around joints. Thus Yoga is an ideal type of exercise for all body structures and needs.
HYDRATE before and after exercise
Hydration, a balanced nutrition, exercise and adequate sleep. When all these needs are adequately satified, our body, mind and spirit can function at an optimal level, guaranteeing health, positive attitute, vitality, best performance at all levels.
It is suggested that a good hydration is completed before exercise (but never during exercise) and then after the session. Recommended amounts of water before class is 2 glasses of 200mls water, and the same after class.
P.S. it is best not to overdo water intake as it may be dangerous to your health - if in doubt ask Rossella.
