The CNS COVID-19 IgG Antibody test is a semi-qualitative test for the detection of IgG antibodies to SARS -CoV-2 providing a positive or negative result. It is highly accurate with 98.9 sensitivity and 99.8% specificity.
Antibodies can be developed following an infection from exposure to the virus or as a result of vaccination. The length of time SARS-CoV-2 antibodies remain in the body is unknown.
The detection of antibodies may indicate immunity or partial immunity to subsequent re-infection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
